Models Shows Toys

I have always had a love for mechanics. As a kid, this love of motors and art led me to really enjoy putting together scale models. I remember my parents getting me a few that I wish I still had. A Testors F40 comes to mind. But as all kids do, they grow up. Although I lost the hobby, I never lost a love of these machines. Finally, after a long hiatus, I was reintroduced in a personal way.

One of the most detailed persons I have ever met was my wife's uncle. This man was meticulous. He really enjoyed scale modeling and was quite good at it. During his bout with health issues, unfortunately, he had to stop working on his craft. His collection then fell into storage for a few years. After a bit of time, there was some talk and the models were given to me to take care of. I feel as I am the steward of these pieces and treat them as such. His creations inspired me to get back into the hobby. I will forever be grateful to him for reintruducing to me something that I forgotten how much I love. Thank you and rest well Uncle Kenny.

1934 Ford Pickup

Started with one idea, ended up with another. Built this one for a Father's day gift. The details were alot of fun. The motor was one of my favorites. I really liked the various elements in this truck.

Playing in the snow

GMC Plow Truck

Ever since building the Ardennes forrest diorama I wanted to do some more snow effects. Fiddled with some custom parts and things. I feel like this one came out great and the intended owner liked it alot.

The mighty mighty Sherman

The Ardennes

This one was fun. All kinds of ideas went into this diorama. Originally started as just the Sherman tank, it became alot more. The moment I dropped an old Sherman build, I knew what I wanted to do!

Good things in small packages

Jeep Willys MB

Tamiya never dissapoints. Fun little Jeep to build. A lot of fine painting but nothing too dramitic. Only minimal weathering on this one as it eventually will be used in a diorama.
